Development Coll has been looking into providing opportunities for the island's young people.  With the arrival of a fully qualified youth worker who has become a Director of Development Coll, this project has blossomed.  

The island's youth were consulted during the 2008 Easter holidays regarding activities they would like to participate in.  The council were successfully  approached for funding which enabled the group to organise structured leisure time activities over the summer period.  Funding also came from a donation made by the local Primary School.

The programme of Sea Kayaking and working with ceramics supported young peoples personal development through the promotion of social inclusion and active citizenship, and filled a gap in the provision of council activity.
